The Bachelor of Arts in Justice Systems Leadership (BAJSL) program is a 51-credit-hour program that builds on Quaker values to prepare graduates for careers in the justice system though the development of ethical behavior and law enforcement practices, leadership, collaboration, effective communication and service to others. The BAJSL program includes various aspects of justice systems as they apply to law enforcement, corrections, pre-law, social work and the private sector. Using criminological theories from a sociological perspective, students will be able to apply past and present theories and models to resolve critical issues in the criminal justice arena.
Today's business climate requires successful organizations to create human resource systems that comply with numerous governmental regulations while creating organizational cultures that promote productivity, employee wellbeing and retention. This requires the knowledge, skills and ability to plan, develop and implement strategic activities necessary to accomplish these goals. This program is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and practical skills for career enhancement and job advancement in human resource management.
The insurance management degree will allow students to apply fundamental principles and concepts related to risk management and property management and liability insurance using a customer-focused marekting orientation modeled on exceptional service and problem solving. Students will learn to communicate and adopt ethical and professional behaviors, practices and decision making used in the insurance industry. Understanding new business, underwriting, claims and policy conversion will be required in addition to other common industry practices and standards. All of the areas will be enhanced through learning collaborative skills that will help drive organizational goals.
